FOOD
Well here we go:

Chinchilla Pellets, Guinea Pig Pellets, Degu Pellets if you order from the states, Grass(summer), Timothy Hay and/or Alfalfa. Clean water every day (preferably).
Any of the above items as a basic and then you can add to that
ADDED FOODS AND TREATS
Beet greens, Horseradish, Bok Choy, Kale, Broccoli, Kohlrabi,Brussels, Mustard Greens, Sprouts, Radishes, Cabbage, Rutabaga,Cauliflower, Swiss Chard, Chinese Cabbage, Turnips, Collard Greens, Turnip Greens, Garden Cress, Dandylion Leaves, Rose Petals,Bite Size Shreddies, Uncooked Sweet Potatoe(skinned), Greenbeans, uncooked pasta

Training Treats and Nuts
Walnuts (1 every 4 to 6 months)in the shell as it gives them something to occupy themselves. Hazel nuts seem to drive my litle guys just bonkers.
Sunflower Seeds are ok but pretty high in saturated fats, Peanuts(raw,unroasted/unsalted), Raisons(but I don't recommend them),Craisons(mine get one about every 3 months)

POISONOUS PLANTS FOR YOUR TO KNOW ABOUT THAT COULD HARM YOUR DEGU
These are mostly indoor house plants but I have known people to grow them outside and bring them in during the winter.So if you let your degu have the run of the house these plants should be removed.
