Well to start off I'm Raquel and I am a single mom with 2 gorgous girls.We live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I'm 39 yrs of age and my daughters are Jazz-15 and Heaven-17
I have been a security guard in the past but now I am a full time student trying to get my VOA (veterinary office assistant)diploma *UPDATE* now graduated and working at Home Depot. We have 2 degus and 3 chinchillas .
The chinchillas names are Teko , momma and handsome . The goo's go by the name of Simon and Gimpy. Now i take in Chins and the odd degu when I can but only if they are going to be taken to the spca and only under extreme circumstances.

The reason I have done up this site is because of all the conflicting information out there on degus. My girls and I have seen to many pet stores with degus of mixed sex in the same cage and too many goos(degu) in the humane society.We know that there is lots of good information out there so hopefully I can compile it all here in a 1 site deal.
There will be lots of pictures coming and all the pictures that I use are guarded from copying.There will also be a link page to all the sites I have used and to other useful pages. There will also be a groups listing for all those out there that would like to join.
